Brinjal and ginger also not allowed in Jainism. Even raw turmeric is not allowed only the dried-up ginger is allowed and there are explanations for that. Just sharing......

The problem with these saffron bigots is that they cannot bear the fact that Tipu Sultan was the first Patriot and Freedom Fighter of India.
